The lakes are still largely open in the Haliburton area so gull numbers remain relatively high. Today, I observed a Thayer's and a Glaucous Gull at the Haliburton dump, among about 100 Herrings and Ring-billeds. Both were 1st year birds.
Also, 1st year Bald Eagle observed over Lake Kashagawigamog, near NE end. Not a bad dump run!
