A note for anyone thinking of going to see the Razorbill, since I hadn't seen a posting about it today. My son and I went down there this morning and spent a fair bit of time (with many others) looking for the Razorbill but with no luck.
After spending some time upriver at the Adam Beck and Queenston boat launch, we returned shortly after noon and the Razorbill was being seen. As many others have reported, the bird was at a fair distance, straight off of the fort, feeding actively. Takes some persistence to find him but he is still there! Good luck! Steve McAllister www.swiftbirder.com Directions (from previous posts): >From the QEW, travel east towards Niagara. Take the 38B Glendale/Regional Road 89 exit, and turn right on Taylor Road. Head west, parallel to the highway, until Taylor Road turns right and crosses the highway. At this point it is called Niagara Stone Road. Follow Niagara Stone Road into Niagara-on-the-lake. At this point, the road will now be known as Mississauga Street. Turn right on Queen St, and then the third left onto Victoria Street. Turn right onto Front Street and the Queen's Royal Park will be on the left. This spot has a pretty good view of the river mouth. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
