Early afternoon, Nov. 19, there was a rough-legged hawk (dark morph)
hunting over a field south of Carling Avenue between Moodie Drive and
Rifle Road (Ottawa). We watched as it hovered, then flew forward a
distance over the field before hovering again, and so on, until it
flew north across the road and over above a treed area.

At Mud Lake (Britannia), there were a large number of ring-necked
ducks, hooded mergansers, and a smaller group of wood ducks (etc.).
