Weather: day started out quite clear and blustery, and became progressively cloudier, and wind chill factor greatly increased. Flight abruptly stopped shortly after noon. Raptor Observations: Not a very exciting day, other than a close fly-by from a large, imm. goshawk, presumably a female. Most of the RT's arrived in small groups btwn 11 and 12. Where are the RL's?! Non-raptor Observations: a female kingfisher scored a small fish right in front of the platform-always fun to watch. a flock of about 100 crows harrassed a RT off of its perch out on "tree island". Predictions: Bundle up! ======================================================================== Report submitted by Michael Fitzpatrick ([email protected]) Holiday Beach Migration Observatory information may be found at: http://hbmo.org/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
