Although there was a good deal of sunshine it was filtered through a thin deck of cirrocumulus cloud which prevented enough heating to get thermals going. Raptor Observations: A trickle of raptors today highlighted by great close views of a very large and very pale adult Peregrine that had those on the tower initially thinking Gyr. Non-raptor Observations: Little passerine movement today but a good number of Yellow-rumped Warblers were noted. Predictions: Mostly cloudy in the morning with sunny breaks in the afternoon. Light West winds increasing as the day progresses. Morning lows just below freezing with an afternoon high near 5C. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Claude Radley ([email protected]) Holiday Beach Migration Observatory information may be found at: http://hbmo.org/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
