On November 2 a juvenile Yellow-crowned Night-Heron was seen on the old canal in Port Colborne by Jean and Blayne Farnan. It was in the company of a juvenile Black-crowned Night - Heron. It was in the trees on the western side of the canal north of Highway 3 It was not seen there this morning, November 3.

Directions: Highway 3 runs through Port Colborne. It passes over a bridge over the old canal on the eastern side of Port Colborne and just west of the new canal. You can inspect the trees on the western side of the old canal on Weir Road, which runs north of Highway 3, on the east side of the old canal. You can also study the old canal to the south of Highway 3 from the bridge
