Weather: Winds were from the South with temperatures ranging from 4.1 to 10.9. Mostly clear skies became mostly cloudy during the afternoon. Raptor Observations: While South winds kept numbers down, we had a nice variety with 11 migrant raptor species. Non-raptor Observations: Pied-billed Grebe 25, Double-crested Cormorant 50, Great Blue Heron 8, Great Egret 2, Tundra Swan 6, Mute Swan 45, Canada Goose 40, Wood Duck 6, American Black Duck 6, Mallard 80, Northern Pintail 45, Northern Shoveler 15, Gadwall 200, American Wigeon 24, Redhead 3, Ring-necked Duck 2, Lesser Scaup 4, Ruddy Duck 4, American Coot 500, Ring-billed Gull 150, Herring Gull 5, Rock Pigeon 1, Belted Kingfisher 1, Red-headed Woodpecker 1, Red Bellied Woodpecker 2, Downy Woodpecker 2, Hairy Woodpecker 1, Northern Flicker 6, Tree Swallow 8, Blue Jay 37, American Crow 791, Black-capped Chickadee 2, Carolina Wren 1, American Robin 12, Cedar Waxwing 31, European Starling 7,000, Northern Cardinal 4, Red-winged Blackbird 380, Brown-headed Cowbird 4, American Goldfinch 22, House Sparrow 2.
