Weather:
Temperatures ranged from 2.8 to 11.1 degrees. North winds moved to South
and eventually East-Southeast. Variable clouds.
Raptor Observations:
15 Eagles today! Juvenile Northern Goshawk flew through between the tower
and lakeshore early in the day. Nice kettles of Turkey Vultures and a good
showing of Red-tailed Hawks.
Non-raptor Observations:
The tower was covered with frost this morning. Pied-billed Grebe 30,
Double-crested Cormorant 20, Great Blue Heron 8, Great Egret 2, Mute Swan
45, Canada Goose 6, Wood Duck 10, American Black Duck 4, Mallard 60,
Northern Pintail 16, Northern Shoveler 10, Gadwall 100, American Wigeon 30,
Canvasback 2, American Coot 500,Ring-billed Gull 75, Herring Gull 4,
Mourning Dove 4, Belted Kingfisher 3, Red-bellied Woodpecker 1, Downy
Woodpecker 2, Northern Flicker 4, Tree Swallow 20, Blue Jay 100, American
Crow 2,765, Black-capped Chickadee 4, Carolina Wren 1, American Robin 4,
European Starling 800, Northern Cardinal 4, Red-winged Blackbird 3,065,

Predictions:
30% chance of rain overnight and again late Saturday. Temperatures ranging
