I spotted 11 Snow Geese earlier this week on the south side of the Beaverton pier. There were 4 adults in the group.
Beaverton is about 50 minutes north of Whitby following Hwy. 12 or 70 minutes north-east of Toronto following the 404 to Davis Drive east then hwy 48 north to Durham 23. Once in the thriving metropolis of Beaverton drive toward the lake (west) on Simcoe St. until it ends at the harbour parking lot and boat launch. There is a nice little breakfast spot here (Hobbes Hollow). Park here and walk out to the pier.
