Weather:
Blue skies today with a few clouds creeping in during the late afternoon.
Strong winds out of the southwest all day. Cooler temperatures ranging
from 9-15 C.

Raptor Observations:
A very entertaining day of migration! A steady trickle of Turkey Vultures
throughout the day with good numbers of Sharp-shinned Hawks and American
Kestrels. Most of the Sharpies came through in the morning whereas the
Kestrels featured more prominently in the afternoon.

Non-raptor Observations:
The strong wind kept birds down and made detection fairly difficult. The
highlight for me was a flock of 30 Chimney Swifts that went by at eye level
fighting the gusts of wind. The number of ducks in the marsh seems to be
increasing by the day.
