Observation start time: 06:45:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 9.25 hours

Official Counter: Stephen Kolbe

Observers: Chris Craft, John Craft

Visitors:
Six visitors today braved the wind and sprinkles.

Weather:
Heavy overcast for most of the day today although the sun did peak through
briefly a few times. A few light rain showers in the morning. Strong
winds out of the west/southwest.

Raptor Observations:
Yet another fairly slow day at the tower. A few Merlin zipped past the
tower in the morning, and a group of Turkey Vultures milled around for most
of the day. An immature Peregrine Falcon was seen at the end of the day
harassing an Osprey.

Non-raptor Observations:
Today's headliners are an adult Red-headed Woodpecker that flew in and
landed in a tree next to the tower, a suprising number (36) of Chimney
Swifts, and an Indigo Bunting around the base of the tower. Otherwise, the
wind put a damper on most bird movement as evidenced by the whopping Blue
Jay total (2) for the day.
