The juvenile purple Gallinule reported previously was seen again today at Port
Weller East (St. Catherines).

There are two ponds on this peninsula. One open water pond, and a smaller pond
full of dead reeds. The PUGA was seen in the larger pond (with open water) at
the south end around 12:15pm by several onlookers and photographed by at least
two (including myself). The bird was by itself and walking in and out of cover
from the reeds, so some patience may be required by those still searching for
it.

Directions as per Marcie Jacklin:
Take the QEW to exit 44 Niagara St. North on Niagara to Lakeshore. Cross the
canal and make your first left follow the roads along the canal and park at the
gate. The
walk out is quite far. Go to the 'pond' on the east side.

Happy Birding,

Peeter Musta
