Visitors to the tower today included Donald and Rayfield Pye, John
Winebrenner, and Lisa Silvey.
Weather:
Blue skies. Temperatures ranging from 15.2-24.5. Winds southeast until
east during the last hour.
Raptor Observations:
A dark Rough-legged Hawk and a dark Red-tailed Hawk were the highlights
today. Otherwise fairly steady movement of mostly Turkey Vultures and
Sharp-shinned Hawks. Cooper's Hawks continue to filter in, and a few
Red-tailed Hawks got up as the day progressed.
Non-raptor Observations:
American Golden-Plover 10, Killdeer 9, Sanderling 1, Caspian Tern 4, Common
Tern 1, Ruby-throated Hummingbird 1, Downy Woodpecker 1, Northern Flicker
3, Blue Jay 15044, European Starling 5, Common Grackle 5, American
Goldfinch 41.
Black Saddlebags 3, Common Green Darner 1, Monarch 7, Common Buckeye 3.
