Other visitors included Tom from Virginia and the Seymour Family from England. Weather: Yet another blue sky day today. Very light winds off the lake in the afternoon. Warm temperatures reached 20 C. Foggy in the morning, with haze throughout the day. Raptor Observations: Birds were slow to wake this morning due to the fog. A few birds eventually moved past: mostly Sharp-shinned Hawks and Turkey Vultures. Red-tailed Hawks and Red-shouldered Hawks continued today in small numbers. The season's first Rough-legged Hawk (a light bird) was seen powering to the west out over the marsh. Due to the conditions, birds again were high and far to the north.
