Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Jeff Schultz

Observers: Don Sherwood, Jonathan Stein, Rodney Laura

Visitors:
A few hearty fellows decided to stop by and keep us company.

Weather:
Cloudy in the morning, it rained briefly mid-day before turning partly
sunny for the majority of the afternoon. Light winds from the southeast
were the norm.

Raptor Observations:
A steady stream of sharpies and kestrels flew by on what turned out to be
our best day of the season so far. Though it was a good day for ospreys and
harriers, their numbers remain low in comparison to our 20-year cumulative
average through this date in seasons past. Bald Eagles made a strong
showing, raising their numbers significantly.

Non-raptor Observations:
There were several large blackbird flocks that passed overhead during the
morning hours. Blue Jay activity is starting to become more apparent,
though not yet in the numbers we will see later in the season.
