To-day Bill Smith and I started out to bird  the Toronto Islands and Rattray
Marsh.  We started at Wards Island  taking the 7 A.M. ferry. After walking
for an hour and a half and seeing nothing we decided to leave and try our
luck at Rattray Marsh where we obseerved the following birds:
1  - Virginia Rail - 1- Sora Rail - 1-Solitary Sandpiper - Several
Semipalmated Plovers and Semipalmated Sandpipers - 1 - Great Egret - 2
Baird"s Sandpipers and 1 adult White- rumped Sandpiper and a Green Heron.
