Ibis sp- 1 (mostly likely Glossy)
Cranberry Marsh, Whitby (east viewing platform)
Tuesday, August 23 (6 to 7:30 PM)

Its eye appeared to be dark and not red. In 11/2 hours it was in
sight for about 15 minutes. It is feeding on the mudflats and grasses
on the east side of the island at Cranberry Marsh.

Directions: Exit from the 401 at Brock St. in Whitby (exit 410)
Go south on Brock to Victoria St. Go west on Victoria St to
Lynde Shores Conservation Area.

from the parking lot take the Bird Feeder Trail through the woodlot and
keep on the trial going south. It is about 20 minutes walk to the east viewing
platform. (do not walk down the private road)
