Ontbirders, At approximately 5:30 PM this evening, Gordon Cameron and I observed a group of 5 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES at the Blenheim Sewage Lagoons. The birds were all juvenile birds, and were actively feeding and spinning in the middle of the northwest pond.
I would also like to add that the sprinkler cells are completely dry and the water had been shut off, so there was very little habitat for other shorebirds though we did see a few others. Best, Leonard Manning London, ON The Blenheim lagoons are on lagoon road west of Blenheim in the county of Chatham-Kent. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
