Greetings!

We spent a lovely afternoon here - lots of peeps, maybe a Bairds and a
Pectoral. At one point a rather large, black, with a white rump, shore bird
flew away. We thought it was a Yellow Legs - but after looking at pictures
of a Black necked Stilt - well I will leave that with you. It might be worth
checking if you are in the area.

If you like Bank Swallows - drive down past the lagoons for about a half
kilometer - about 200 of them have set up shop in a field and are hanging on
the wires and eating the gravel.

The Townsend Sewage lagoons are south of Townsend on concession 14. Getting
to Townsend from Hamilton you follow highway 6 south to road 69, south of
Hagersville, and turn right. Turn left on Keith Richardson parkway and turn
right on concession 14.

There is not a lot of parking and the gate may be closed.

Cheers,

Bernie
