Ontbirders

The Western Meadowlark sang for a few minutes at 8.30 am from the telephone
wires along Dwyer Hill Rd near the produce stand. It then flew over the road to
the weedy field opposite the produce stand, and was seen in the grasses between
the bushes in mid-field.
An Upland Sandpiper called and then landed briefly on the wires at the same
time as the W. Meadowlark, before flying west..

Directions: From Ottawa take Hwy. 417 west to Panmure Road exit (about 18 km
west of Stittsville). Take Panmure Rd. south to Upper Dwyer Hill Rd. (2
km).
