This evening while making a very brief pitstop at Blenheim I was surprised to 
see an Avocet feeding in the sprinkler cells. This one was much less colorful 
then the one I found at tilbury a few weeks ago. The shorebirds here were quite 
skittish and I last observed the avocet flying south. Also, I heard 2 
Dickcissels calling while at the lagoons. A banner year for them, perhaps?

The Blenheim lagoons are on lagoon road west of Blenheim in Chatham-Kent.
