On July 4th, between 8:00 and 8:15 p.m, a Cattle Egret in adult breeding
plumage was seen at Isaac Lake Road just off Highway 6 on the Bruce Peninsula.
The Cattle Egret was sitting on a bale of hay, just beyond the marsh area (on
the right side of the road) in an agricultural field. Directions from Wiarton:
go north on Highway 6 for a few kilometres, and turn left onto Isaac Lake Road,
and proceed down the road until you reach the marsh complex. A spotting scope
is recommended.
