During our BBS (survey) yesterday morning Angie and I found a pair of trumpeters swans on the hunt club pond at 15734 Heart Lake Road. We could not read the tag numbers, unfortunately, as they were either partially covered with plumage, or seemed inside out. A scope would not have helped. This place is on the west side of ;the road 1.6 km north of Olde Baseline Rd. which is about 15 minutes north of Brampton via highway 10.

Also, a bit further north on Heart Lake Rd., we heard American Bittern calling from our point just under .6 km north of Escarpment Side Road.

Very nice weather for the survey route.
