This afternoon while we were walking around the Brighton Wetland a Least
Bittern flew up from the south-east corner, flew low over the water and
landed out of sight near the middle.
Directions: Exit 509 from Hwy 401 into Brighton. Go straight through the
traffic lights in Brighton on County Rd 30. The wetland is on the right
side after a long curve.
Season Permits for entry are required. They can be purchased for $5 at 67
Sharp Rd, or you can go to the
Brighton Web site to down load the Wetland form and follow the instructions.
