In what was a very quiet morning at High Park I found an Orchard Oriole singing
from the top of a spruce tree. It is in roughly the same spot as the last few
years. This is just east of Grenadier Pond in a grassy area where there is a
circular hedge not far from the restaurant. Other than that it was pretty quiet
- Nashville, Yellow-rumped, Black and White Warblers and an Ovenbird (all in
low
numbers), 2 Blue-headed Vireos, 3 Hermit Thrushes, 2 Brown Thrashers and 1 Gray
Catbird.
