Greetings: If you are interested in permit for the wetland please go to
www.brighton.ca, click on TOURISM (top right),
on the lest hand side scroll down to Constructed Wetland - click on permit and
don't forget to print out a copy
of the rules and regulations. I believe a self-addressed stamped envelope is
still required.

NOW:
A special request (again): This is a good idea. If anyone is in the area this
coming Friday May 6, around 1:00pm
please come to the wetland and let the mayor see what we do. It would be
easier for local people - so please come
to the wetland.

Thanks again for everything.
Maureen

Ian Shanahan has agreed to be part of the "delegation" to the "Committee of the
Whole" addressing what the wetland has to offer.
If anyone else would like to be part, please contact me as soon as possible as
I will have to submit the delegation names today.

Maureen,

Once you have an established time to meet the Mayor
at the wetland, you should work behind the scenes to ensure that a dozen or
more birders are already there engaged in birding when you arrive.

They should not all be in one group. More people in
more cars = more stops at a gas station.

You should pretend to only know a very few of them.
Some could approach and ask if there is a coffee shop or eatery nearby.

Other birders should arrive on the scene during your
visit as well, and again, they should not all come in one group, nor should you
greet them all by name.

Just a thought on a strategy.
