Greetings! While dodging rain drops I had the pleasant surprise to see a Yellow Breasted Chat at Tommy Thompson. It was in the bracken by the Wet Woods. Go right after the parking lot, walk along the trail and past the first copse, lots of water, walk a bit further and go to the left and up the rise.
There were many warblers: Common Yellowthroat, Yellow, Palm, and Yellow Rumps. Tommy Thompson is located south of Leslie Street and Lakeshore Blvd. The signs say it is closed during the week - but the Wet Woods are usually accessible. If you go during the week be careful of the dump trucks that go screaming through the speed limit is 60 k and they don't always look for pedestrians. That's why they say it is closed.
