Yesterday morning a banded Piping Plover was located on the Barrier Beach in
Darlington Provincial Park. I relocated the bird this afternoon on the barrier
beach approximately 200m in from the west end of the park. Piping Plovers are
now almost annual visitors to the Darlington Provincial Park/Oshawa Second
Marsh area

If anyone travels to see it this evening. I advise come in from the east. There
are 5-8 ft waves currently pounding the beach, making for a very wet walk.

Also along the trail between the boat ramp and the beach in the park were 46
Bohemian Waxwings eating buckthorn berries

Direction:

The McLaughlin Bay Barrier beach can be accessed from either Oshawa Second
marsh (west access point) or Darlington provincial park (east access point)
