At my favorite dirt patch off Ira Needles Blvd (north of Highland Rd), beside
Walmart....there is a large collection of Ring-billed and Herring Gulls.
Amongst them is a beautiful adult (or near adult) Lesser Black-backed Gull.
Bird provided cracking views from 20ft, and was well photographed. If the bird
is not immediately visible (it really stands out), it may be at the neighboring
dump site....and could return later. Observed just 10 minutes ago, and
remained at the site when i left.

Also, 3 trumpeter swans swimming in flooded farmer's field off Bleams Rd. just
west of Fischer-Hallman Rd. just now.

Directions: Ira Needles Blvd can be accessed from Hwy 8, drive north past
Highland Rd until you arrive at a large commercial development (Walmart, Rona,
Empire Cinema). Dirt patch is right in the middle.

Happy Birding,

Peeter
