Hannah Maciver & l did a thorough search from the west side of the Laurel
Creek reservoir, including the inner bay and the observation
platform, between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. this evening and were not able find the
Eurasian Wigeon. We thought we had found it at one point when another
friendly birder offered to show it to us, but it turned out to be a
Green-winged Teal. A nice variety of other waterfowl were present,
including our first Blue-winged Teal of the season, and an Osprey was
inspecting the area.

Directions per Mike Burrell:
>From hwy 85 take the Northfield Drive exit and head west. Turn right at the
lights at Westmount and take the left at Conservation Drive. Follow this
over to Beaver Creek Road and head left (south). You can park on the side
of the road just before or after the bridge over the creek. The bird was
viewed from the bridge but there is also an observation tower south of the
bridge on the east side of the road.
