Good afternoon: After enduring a very cold wind we finally refound the Western grebe. It was sleeping amongst a group of Red Necked Grebes and Horned Grebes along the western side of the park just north of the mouth of the marina.
There were dozens of Red Necked Grebes in the central bay. We also saw a GC Kinglet and an American Kestrel. This place is Grebe city! At Humber Bay East we looked for and did not find the Harlequin but did find a Phoebe! Colonel Sam Smith is south of Kipling and Lakeshore Blvd. Exit off the Gardiner and go south. Parking is free (but often filled with Humber students' cars) just south of the Power Station (paid parking). Humber Bay East is, well, east of Colonel Sam Smith, at Parklawn road.
