Great Blue Herons have returned to the Rookery near the corner of Indian Line Road and Chiefs Wood Road. The Rookery can be reached by going North on Indian Line from Hagersville (Stop Light at Centre of Town) to the corner of Chiefswood and Indian Line. There is the Little Beaver Esso Station on the corner at Chiefswood. Gas is about 10 cents cheaper there as a bonus. The Rookery can be seen from Chiefs Wood Road by going east from the Little Beaver Esso Station about 500 Metres. It is on the South side of Chiefs Wood. The Rookery is on Private property and shouldn't be disturbed if viewed from the road. There is also a Great horned owl nesting in an old red tailed hawk nest on the west side of Hwy 3 between Jarvis and Sandusk Road. Nest can be easily seen from the road when you approach from Jarvis.
