Hello Everyone.
There are about 20,000 TUNDRA SWANS down Greenway
Rd. off Hwy. 21 at the Pinery Park area and many others at other favoured
sites.
Today was not a good day for photos because it was overcast. However it is
going to clear tonight so that we can see the 'Super Moon' (14% closer than
usual) and tomorrow see the Swans against a blue sky.
There were PINTAIL, Am. WIGEON, WOOD DUCKS, L. SCAUP, RUDDY DUCKS, RINGNECKS
and a pair of HOODED MERGANSERS in the flooded field near Northville. I think
that there were 3 BLUE-WINGED TEAL but just then the Wood Ducks appeared and I
forgot to confirm the Teal

A small flock of SNOW BUNTINGS down among the fields had several LAPLAND
LONGSPURS with them.

The SONG SPARROW that has been down Gallimere Beach Rd. is in good singing
voice. Robins are not yet singing very much.

Good Birding.

Have a 'Big Moon Night'

Alf.
