Birders,

Some of you may have heard that there has been a Harris's Sparrow here. I have
purposely not reported it on ONT Birds because it is very irregular coming to
our feeder . Individuals were here for some time this morning to catch a
glimpse of it and went home without a glimpse.

I did see it very briefly today at 1:15 pm, but it did not stay in sight for
more than a minute. This is pretty much the way it has behaved over the last
week or so and why I did not report it. If you want to take the risk of not
seeing it, you are welcome to try.

It has "sometimes" visited our feeder at the back of the house at 3 Bridge St.
Port Burwell.

Port Burwell is on Lake Erie on the south end of Hwy #19 (Plank Road) south of
Tillsonburg. 3 Bridge St. is the same place some of you came to see the
Yellow-throated Warbler a few years back. You will see a sign for Big Otter
Marina just west of the bridge in town. Turn in there and use the paved lane
up the hill to this address.

Once again - no guarantee and it is scarce at the best of times.

Joe Stephenson
