For the last few days I've had mixed flocks of Common Redpolls and Pine Siskins moving through my yard in Ajax, mostly only in the a.m. but today they seem to be hanging around. Hard to tell if the same flock is coming every few days or if they're different birds, but the numbers vary and the mix of siskins to redpolls varies as well. Perhaps they're on their way through and fattening up for the trip north.
lots of song now - mostly Cardinals and House Finches.
