Surprised to see a male red-winged blackbird at my niger feeder today (Feb 21) @ 4:30 pm. Earliest I've ever seen one in this area (usually first males arrive around mid to late March). Feeders in the back yard can be viewed from open lot on the west side of my property at 41 Range Road in Ajax. Directions: Lakeridge Road south of Bayly Avenue, right at Range Road, #41.
