Hello birders.

Yesterday while searching for the Grey Partridges around the Brantford
Airport (unsuccessfully but it was late in the day and everything looked grey
after 4 p.m.!), I came across a small flock of Brown-Headed Cowbirds on Bethel
Road about 1 km east of Rest Acres Road. Seems rather early for cowbirds but
perhaps they were overwintering in the area which is moderated by the Grand
River. There was also an American Kestrel on the east side of Rest Acres Road
half way to Paris.
Access to the area is best gained from Highway 403 and the Rest Acres Road
exit. Head south about .5 km.
