This afternoon I witnessed a horrible attack on a Cardinal right on my deck
overlooking the Sauble River. Don't know whether it was a Northern Shrike or a
Loggerhead. It was too intense for me to identify in this struggle. It then
flew of with the poor Cardinal in tow. Can't wait for the spring birds to
reappear as I get a lot of different species here . Unfortunately only for a
short time.
