I have had 30 plus Common Redpolls visiting my feeders daily and for Christmas there was a Hoary Redpoll within the flock. I was getting 60 plus American Goldfinches until the Redpolls showed up and since then they have been reduced to around 20 birds daily.
Even when our local Sharp-shinned showed up this morning the Redpolls were back within minutes. Unfortunately the feeders are in the back yard and not visible for the street. Directions: Take highway #6 to the north end of Fergus turn right on Gordon Street. Take the second street left (Gzowski St.) and we are on the left hand side.
