Hello,
Just a note to say that the Song Sparrow at my home is still present and appears to be content living in a burn pile of different branches that were gathered up over time. This little guy spends some days perched on one of the top branches chirping, in what I would guess looking for a soul mate. It seems apparent that this bird is not comfortable coming to the bird feeders on regular visits, while other bird species are feeding, noticing that it only shows up on the rarest occasion and even at dark when no other birds are present. I placed a sheet of plywood near the brush and the sparrow and deer are enjoying the bird seeds on it. Cheers, Brian Directions: Located at 12 Kelly Rd., approx. 15 minutes from the Champlain Bridge to Ontario. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
