Winter Listers:
Just a few goodies that people have dug up today for winter listers who are out. 1) Dave Don just phoned to advised that there are 5 Turkey Vultures at the same roost as last year on Concession 5 just west of Woodhill Road near the Patterson Tract. Earlier today, I had a flock of 20 American Pipits at 5th Concession West and Westover Road. >From the 403 Hamilton, take Highway 6 North, turn left (west) on Concession 4 West. Continue a fair bit west past Hwy 8 and west of Woodhill Road. There is a red mailbox at 1948 4th Concession West on the south side of the road. 2) Jacob Bruxer texted me to advise of a Black-legged Kittiwake flying west from Fifty Point Conservation Area. Yesterday, Brandon Holden had an adult male King Eider flying west from Fifty Point. Take QEW Niagara to 50 Road and follow signs to the park. Anywhere along the west end of Lake Ontario could be good. Cheers, Cheryl Edgecombe _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
