Hello Birders.
At 11.35am. this morning a dark phase GYRFALCON flew
past me while I was counting birds on Kettle Point. It continued on towards
Grand Bend.

Kettle Point is north of Forest and is off Highway 21. Grand Bend is on
Highway 21 at the north tip of Lambton County.

I am not expecting the GYR. to return, but when they do linger here they are
always found sitting on a rocky reef.

The Gyr is a 'ten year bird' here for me here. My previous photos of earlier
birds are deposited in I think 'The Cranbrook Institute' in the Detroit area.

One was belatedly reported last year but there was no confirmation.

Alf.
Forest.
