At Frenchman's Bay this afternoon (4.30-6.30pm). No Red knot, but
instead a White-rumped Sandpiper. Also several pipits. Key species
below.

Directions (public transit): Get off at Pickering GO station, walk or
bike 1 km west along Bayly st. until you reach the Gingerbread Daycare
Centre. For further details see below.

Directions (car): Exit 401 at White's Road and go south to Bayly then east until
you see the Gingerbread Daycare Centre (a low brown building all by itself
in a large parking lot) on your right (there is a sign for it on Bayly St.).
Park in their parking lot and walk east from the SE edge of the parking lot
and follow the trail to the marsh then cross  the creek  to the mud flats
where the creek meets Frenchman's Bay. Boots required. Sitting to rest on
the old couch in the creek not recommended.
