It is with great sadness that to report the passing of Robert (Bob) Gorman.
Bob, long a fixture of the Ottawa birding community, will be remembered for his
sense of humour and his dedication to birding. He was an active member in the
Ottawa Field Naturalist's Club and served for many years on the Ottawa Birds
Records Committee. Bob was an avid participant on numerous Eastern Ontario
Christmas Bird Counts including Ottawa, Pakenham/Arnprior,
Dunrobin/Breckenridge and Cornwall/Massena. He was a constant friend and
birding companion to many and was always ready to lend a helping hand. A
memorial service will be held on Saturday Sept. 11 at 4PM at McEvoy-Shields,
1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa.
