Hi Ontbirders,

At the old burn area near Constance Bay Saturday August 7th at 14:45, I and one other person saw 2 adult Red-headed Woodpeckers. We were on the same sand trail described by Peter Campbell and Bruce Di Labio close to the end of the trail (ends at a private home). We looked for about 30 minutes, but could not find any juveniles. The adults were actively digging into several dead trees. one spent some time at the top of cut off end of a tree digging.
