The Red-Headed Woodpecker continues to be present at the old burn area at
Constance Bay.The birds, an adult and a junenile were viewed Thurs am at 0800
by Deborah McKeand and Ken Garrett. Sorry for the late posting. The birds were
in the same location as reported by Peter Campbell 2Aug.
They are easily spotted as they frequent a very large dead tree about 75 yards
off the road about 50 yards past the intersection of the sand trail and the
entrance trail to the burn area itself
Good luck, Ken Garrett
