Greetings!

Even though yesterday was grey and rainy it was a nice time to be out. We
went first to Tiny Marsh and saw many Black Terns feeding in the lilies.
There was a lot of birdsong, warblers, a Least Bittern (I think), and many
sparrows.

At Wasaga Beach the original story was that the Piping Plovers had left but
not so: we saw three of them. One on the next (behind the fence) and two on
the beach. They report 4 eggs and 5 birds.

Tiny Marsh is north west of Elmvale, take road 6 north of Elmvale and your
second left (there is a sign). The parking lot is about a kilometer or so
further on. Walk along the dike to see the terns.

At Wasaga the Piping Plovers are at Beach 1 behind a fence. The volunteers
are very helpful.

Cheers,

Bernie
