Hello Birders!

Another grey day here at Point Pelee, but the skies are starting to
brighten and south winds are predicted for later this week.

Amongst the showers this morning, there was a lovely chorus of song. The
second wave of Nashville Warblers has arrived and there was a nice
individual singing away at the Visitor Centre when I arrived this morning.

The Tip was slower this morning, but persistent birders were able to find
White-eyed Vireo, Bay-breasted, Tennessee, Wilson's & Mourning Warblers.
Tildens Woods had the usual songs of nesting American Redstarts - Blackpoll
& Cape May Warbler were also noted.

The American White Pelicans (3) were reported again from Hillman Marsh this
morning. Observers have recommended viewing from the south dike of the
marsh. The road along this dike (the eastern end of Cty Rd 20), is
partially closed, observers were driving to the barricades and able to see
the birds easily from the side of the road. Please note that there is
construction going on along this road and there may be limited access at
the moment.

I'm looking forward to getting out to do some birding myself tomorrow and
will report back.

Good birding everyone!
Sarah
