Rayfield Pye found a breeding-plumaged adult Little Blue Heron at Cranberry Marsh at 8am this morning, Sunday May 9. It can be seen from the south viewing platform on the west side of the marsh, off Halls Road.
Directions: Take Brock Street, Exit 410 from Hwy 401 in Whitby, go south a short distance to Victoria Street, turn right on Victoria Street and go west to Halls Road, then south to the viewing platform nearest the lake. >From Toronto you could exit at Salem Road, Exit 404, go south to Bayly Street which becomes Victoria Street in Whitby, and drive east to Halls Road.
