Hello Ontbirders.

New for Rondeau Provincial Park's 2010 year list was a Yellow-throated
Vireo on Tulip Tree Trail this afternoon. Also new were Canada
Warbler and Bay-breasted Warbler on Spicebush Trail, and American
Redstart as well as Ovenbird on South Point Trail. Our warbler count
for today was 16 species.

The Cattle Egret near the park mentioned in my previous posting was
present in the same field at the intersection of Erieau Road and
Bisnett Road up to at least 3:15 pm today. The bird was in full
breeding plumage. It could not be found at that location at 4:30 pm.
Observers searching for the egret managed to turn up a flock of 60
Pectoral Sandpipers. At the Blenheim Sewage Lagoons, a Sora was
sighted.

Good birding!
